Background and Achievements

A graduate of Dartmouth College and Georgetown University Law Center, she was first elected to the seat in 2012. Prior to working in Congress, Kuster was a prominent activist and adoption attorney in New Hampshire, who focused her efforts on making adoption more accessible for families. Throughout her time in Congress, she has served as a ranking member on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and the House Agriculture Committee. She fought to provide stronger health resources for veterans by tackling VA backlog and opening health clinics. She is working on combating about the increasing epidemic of opioids and heroin in her state and country. She co-founded and co-chairs the Bipartisan Heroin Task Force.
